Abstract:

The great IT transformation that takes place just in front of our eyes carries serious threats. The article brings to our attention the problems that are the consequence of the popularity of the Internet and which become the subject of important debates. Among them there are issues related to the protection of personal data and the right to privacy or issues in the field of civil law (including, in particular, making declarations of will and entering into contracts through the network) and protection of intellectual property rights. However, the Internet also brings threats to the functioning of public institutions which may affect the democratic exercise of power.
