Abstract:

The issue of the use of psychoactive substances has a considerable representation in Polish scientific achievements, especially in the past 30 years. However, there are still no publications on the so-called specific groups that create, among others problem users of one substance - opioids. In this article, it was decided to outline the personality profile of opioid addicts in terms of the relationship between selected personality traits and social competences. Knowing the indicated factors plays a significant role not only in the process of therapy and social rehabilitation. In the early phase of diagnosis, it consists in planning a positive change; later it allows the planning of the process of change in such a way as to prevent relapse of the disease.  

Problematyka używania substancji psychoaktywnych ma sporą reprezentację w polskim dorobku naukowym, zwłaszcza w minionym 30-leciu. Wciąż jednak brak jest publikacji dotyczących tzw. grup specyficznych, które tworzą m.in. osoby problemowo używające jednej substancji – opioidów. W niniejszym artykule postanowiono przybliżyć zarys profilu osobowości osób uzależnionych od opioidów w aspekcie zależności między wybranymi cechami osobowości a kompetencjami społecznymi. Poznanie wskazanych czynników odgrywa znaczącą rolę nie tylko w procesie terapii i resocjalizacji: we wczesnej fazie diagnozy polega ona na planowaniu pozytywnej zmiany, w okresie późniejszym pozwala tak zaplanować proces zmiany, aby zapobiec nawrotowi choroby.
