Communicating the law towards guests (tourists) in a multicultural society – selected issues

Abstract:

The article tackles the issue of communicating the law towards permanent or temporary guests (tourists) residing in a given territory, i.e. a phenomenon of paramount importance in the context of cultural pluralisation, migration, and the mobility of the modern societies. With relation to the residence in a given territory of some non-citizens of diverse cultural background there are many challenges the state legal order and its authorities have to face. The issue of the guests, who when confronted with unfamiliar legal order of the hosting state often remain left alone, provides a ground for these reflections. The article tackles the issue of breaking the law by the non-citizens and the consequent problem of dealing with the state legal order by the non-citizens.
