Silesian Quarterly Historical Journal “Sobótka” [Śląski Kwartalnik Historyczny „Sobótka”] has been published in Wrocław since 1946 – initially as a semiannual periodical and a yearbook with the title “Sobótka”, and since 1957 quarterly, with the current title. It is among the oldest regional scholarly journals in the field of history in Poland and a significant element of Polish humanities. “Sobótka” is considered one of the most important periodicals concerning Silesian studies, but the editorial team remains open also to material from other thematic fields. The journal serves for presentation of research on history of Central and Eastern Europe, with a special focus on Silesia and neighboring regions and countries, as well as on regional history. For several years, its publisher was the Wrocław Society of History Enthusiasts [Wrocławskie Towarzystwo Miłośników Historii], i.e. the Branch of the Polish Historical Society [Polskie Towarzystwo Historyczne]; currently, the journal is published under the auspices of the University of Wrocław.  

Śląski Kwartalnik Historyczny „Sobótka” wydawany jest we Wrocławiu od 1946 r., początkowo jako półrocznik i rocznik pod tytułem „Sobótka”, a od roku 1957 jako kwartalnik pod obecnym tytułem. Należy do najstarszych w Polsce regionalnych czasopism naukowych o profilu historycznym, pozostając ważnym elementem polskiej humanistyki. Uchodzi za jeden z najważniejszych periodyków śląskoznawczych, ale jego łamy pozostają otwarte również na materiały o innym zakresie tematycznym. Służy prezentacji wyników badań nad dziejami Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej – ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem Śląska, sąsiednich regionów i krajów, zarazem refleksji nt. dziejów regionalnych. Przez wiele lat pismo znajdowało się w gestii Wrocławskiego Towarzystwa Miłośników Historii (oddziału Polskiego Towarzystwa Historycznego), obecnie ukazuje się pod auspicjami Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego.

Abstract:

The article deals with a war expedition by Bolko V, appearing in the latest historical works, which is said to have taken place in 1432. In examining the letter, which serves as the basis for describing military campaigns conducted that year, the author points out that the publisher made a mistake in dating it. The mistake was noticed and corrected by the publisher himself, but some contemporary historians have overlooked it. This leads to an incorrect presentation of the battles taking place in Upper Silesia during the first half of the 1430s. The author, confronting the content of the letter with the so-called Strzelin fragment, points out that it must have been written in 1430 in accordance with the correction issued by the publisher of the source.  

Artykuł dotyczy, pojawiającej się w najnowszych pracach, wyprawy Bolka V, która miała mieć miejsce w 1432 r. Autor badając list będący podstawą do opisywania działań zbrojnych w tym roku zwraca uwagę, iż jego wydawca popełnił błąd przy jego datowaniu. Pomyłkę dostrzeżoną i skorygowaną przez samego wydawcę, pominęli jednak niektórzy współcześni historycy. Powoduje to nieprawdziwe przedstawianie walk jakie toczono na Górnym Śląsku w pierwszej połowie lat 30. XV w. Autor, konfrontując treść listu z tzw. fragmentem strzelińskim, wskazuje, że musiał on zostać napisany w 1430 r. zgodnie z poprawką wydawcy źródła.
