Abstract:

The study presents the course of work in the criminal law section of the Codification Commission of the Republic of Poland regarding the offenses against voting in public matters. The base for this work were the papers presented during the sessions of the section by Wacław Makowski and Juliusz Makarewicz. The proposals contained therein were used in the development of the final draft of the Polish Penal Code. It was shown that the structure of the discussed crimes was shaped on the basis of in-depth considerations carried out under the criminal law section. The goal was to present them based on the latest solutions of the legislation then known.
