  The paper addresses the issue of the practical aspects of using technological criteria for the classification of Neolithic pottery. The author points out a great similarity of some formulas used in Late Linear Pottery culture, Globular Amphora culture and Early Bronze Age assemblages and argues that archaeologists should employ data collected in the course of experimental studies.
