  The article is a continuation of the author’s research, carried out for a few years now, into thecriminal law doctrine in Poland in the late 18th century. Drawing on his meticulous study of the sources and competent analysis of the literature on the subject, the author tries to fill the existing gap in the study of criminal law of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth towards the end of its existence as a sovereign state. In this particular case the author explores criminal law proposals of the Great Sejm legislators concerning the regulation of political crimes in the criminal code.
