In most friends are a group of individuals of mixed sex and meet \u201eface to face\u201d twice a week. In this period of life friendship meets primarily the function of help, intimacy and self-validation. The frequency of face-to-face meetings is positively correlated with companionship stimulation, self-validation and reliability alliance. The trust is related to the implementation of the help function, reliability alliance, self-validation and emotional security. The study found no connection between trust and companionship stimulation or intimacy. Loyalty and support (as a factor including the characteristics of trust and empathy) and openness proved to be the most important features of a friend related to the implementation of all functions of friendship."],"pl":["Artykuł przedstawia charakterystykę przyjaźni w okresie wczesnej dorosłości. W większości przyjaciele stanowią grupę osób mieszanej płci i spotykają się \u201etwarzą w twarz\u201d dwa razy w tygodniu. W tym okresie życia przyjaźń spełnia przede wszystkim funkcję pomocy, intymności oraz utrzymania pozytywnej samooceny. Częstość kontaktów powiązana jest pozytywnie ze stymulacją towarzyską, utrzymaniem pozytywnej samooceny oraz niezawodnością sojuszu. Zaufanie powiązane jest z realizacją funkcji pomocy, niezawodnością sojuszu, utrzymaniem pozytywnej samooceny oraz emocjonalnym bezpieczeństwem. Badanie nie wykazało związku pomiędzy zaufaniem a towarzyskością ani intymnością.
