It is a fragment of a casting stone mould that was used to make the metal axes. The stone used to produce the mould was secondary burned. The mould has no distinct remains caused by pouring metal into it, for example blackening of the negative. In order to determine the nature of the object\u2019s participation in the casting activity, i.e. its direct use, specialized archaeometric studies were made.
