The starting point of the discussion was to define the terms student youth and free time. Next, the features of free time were described and the issue of education for leisure time was discussed. The further part of the article was devoted to the pedagogical aspects of the culture of free time of students. Attention was paid to the factors that have a significant impact on how leisure time is used by students today. Also, the main areas of recreational activity of student youth were highlighted.
