Within each nation-state there were some self-identified \u2018true\u2019 identities. These national identities attempted to subdue and engulf the regional identities which stemmed from modern Silesian patriotism, creating borderland identities. They took their final form at the turn of the 20th century and during its first decades. Three aspects are subjected to a detailed analysis: the concept of Silesia\u2019s territory and Silesia\u2019s \u2018own\u2019 borders, elements of \u2018true\u2019 Silesian identity, and the approach to outsiders. Thus, each \u2018National Silesia\u2019 had its own borders, different while overlapping. Their denizens could choose from many identities, similar in every \u2018National Silesia\u2019 in only the genetic and structural sense, since their essence was the exclusion of those foreign in the national sense. In the second part, these offers are elaborated in three areas: regional and national symbolism (basing on the naming structure adopted in Czechoslovakian Silesia), places of distinct identity in leading cultural institutions (The Upper Silesian National Museum in Bytom) and the implementation of Silesian regionalism within the Polish educational system."],"pl":["Po przedstawieniu relacji między państwem narodowym i regionem oraz tożsamościami narodowymi i regionalnymi, podjęty został opis trzech ofert tożsamościowych zawartych w toposach: ziemia korony czeskiej, regionalizm śląski i ogólnośląska przestrzeń. W poszczególnych państwach narodowych były one uznawane za tożsamości \u201eprawdziwe\u201d. Te tożsamości narodowe starały się podporządkować i wpisać w swoje ramy tożsamości regionalne, wyrastające z nowożytnego patriotyzmu śląskiego, tworząc tożsamości kresowe. Swój ostateczny kształt przybrały na przełomie XIX/XX w. i w pierwszych dekadach XX w. Bliżej analizowane są trzy aspekty: wyobrażenie o terytorium i granicach \u201ewłasnego\u201d Śląska, elementy \u201eprawdziwej\u201d tożsamości śląskiej i stosunek do obcych. Tym samym każdy \u201eŚląsk narodowy\u201d posiadał własne granice \u2013 różne, choć nakładające się.
