It is the subject of many debates, conferences and media broadcasts focused on achieving various goals, unfortunately not always informative. These threats have different typologies, causes, distribution and centers of influence. The dangers associated with it evolve and are a permanent state, hence the possibility of completely eliminating the occurrence of such forms of threats is practically impossible, and assuming even hypothetically such scenarios in theory is rightly treated as fiction. Therefore, terrorism has become a permanent element of reality, very visible in the media, socially, economically and politically, with which you have to learn to live with, be able to interpret the environment (symptoms, disturbing signals), protect yourself and others and react appropriately to the situation. Be aware not only of the potential of threats that may occur in your own country, but also in other countries, especially neighboring countries, know where to look for the necessary information and have the habit of preparing for trips abroad, especially when they relate to a different cultural zone. What is necessary to develop this type of behavior in the social space \u2013 on the one hand, the activity of government institutions and international organizations aimed at minimizing threats, on the other hand, the preparation and implementation of the concept of a permanent process of building, supporting and developing a safety culture addressed to various social groups and categories, mainly through system-based education, which will provide a wide range of competences in the field of knowledge (and the need to constantly update it) and practical skills (applying theory in practice in a manner appropriate to the situation). The aim of the article is to present the role of the goals and initiatives of the Terrorist Prevention Center of the Internal Security Agency as an institution responsible for the prevention and education of society in the area of terrorist threats."],"pl":["Celem niniejszego artykułu jest zwrócenie uwagi na zjawisko terroryzmu jako jednego z aktualnych globalnych wyzwań obejmującego bardzo szerokie spektrum zagrożeń dla współczesnych społeczeństw i świata, które mają różne typologie, przyczyny, rozmieszczenie i ośrodki wpływu oraz wciąż ewoluują. Prewencja w przestrzeni społecznej \u2013 z jednej strony powinna być generowana przez aktywność instytucji rządowych i organizacji międzynarodowych ukierunkowanych na minimalizację zagrożeń, z drugiej strony przygotowanie i wdrożenie koncepcji trwałego procesu budowania, wspieranie i rozwijanie kultury bezpieczeństwa adresowanej do różnych grup i kategorii społecznych, głównie poprzez systemową edukację, która zapewni szeroki zakres kompetencji w zakresie wiedzy (i konieczności jej ciągłego aktualizowania) oraz umiejętności praktycznych.
