  The author presents a new psychological view on the migration process in the light of ressentiment, showing the relationship of the latter to the emotional, socio-cultural and other effects associated with the change of residence. He defines the sphere of interest concerning negative emotions such as hatred, malice, jealousy, envy and anger in a cultural context. At the same time, he points out that there is the possibility of a positive impact on society through integration in the process of acculturation of the individual. Referring to John W. Berry’s position, he presents migration strategies resulting from different ways of dealing with fundamental issues that people face in their quest to preserve their culture and personal identity, while being affected by ressentiment.

  Autor przedstawia nowe spojrzenie psychologiczne na proces migracji w świetle resentymentu, ukazując jego związek z konsekwencjami emocjonalnymi i społeczno-kulturowymi wiążącymi się ze zmianą miejsca zamieszkania. Definiuje sferę zainteresowań obejmującą negatywne emocje, takie jak nienawiść, złośliwość, zazdrość, zawiść i złość, ujawniające się w kontekście migracji. Jednocześnie zwraca uwagę na to, że istnieje możliwość pozytywnego wpływu na społeczeństwo poprzez integrację w procesie akulturacji jednostki. Odwołując się do stanowiska Johna Berry’ego, przedstawia strategie migracyjne, które wynikają z różnych sposobów radzenia sobie z fundamentalnymi kwestiami, z jakimi ludzie stykają się w dążeniu do zachowania swojej kultury i osobistej tożsamości, będąc jednocześnie dotkniętymi resentymentem.
