  To develop sustainable urban mobility, many hard measures have been developed to encourage drivers to resign from cars, and at the same time to increase the attractiveness of alternative transport modes. Soft measures, based on building pro-environmental and pro-social attitudes and promoting sustainable mobility, are intended to increase the effectiveness and acceptance of hard measures. However, soft measures tend to be underestimated, even though they can increase the acceptance of restrictions for car driver and close the "attitude-behaviour" gap that occurs when consumers' actual behaviours are divergent from their attitudes towards these behaviours. Mobility still remains an area with a large “attitude-behaviour” gap due to the low willingness to resign from cars, even despite the growing ecological awareness of Poles. With this in mind, the project aimed to investigate the extent to which different combinations of direct, visually supported information about private and external costs and benefits influence the replacement of cars with more sustainable modes of urban transport and thus reduce the "attitude-behaviour” gap. To achieve the goal, the Author used the assumptions of behavioural economics and the output of studies on sustainable consumption, and experimental research was developed using the CAWI technique. The study was conducted in March 2023 among Wrocław residents aged 30-40 who had a driving license and a car at their disposal. Respondents were divided into 4 equal groups A, B, C and D, three of which (B, C, D) received in the experimental part of the questionnaire different visual information referring to the private, social and environmental costs and benefits resulting from more sustainable transport behaviour. The research results confirmed the existence of framing effect, loss aversion and endowment effect, as well as different reactions to various visual stimuli and, therefore, their different effectiveness in closing the "attitude-behaviour" gap. This confirms the untapped potential of soft measures in the transformation towards sustainable mobility, as well as the need to further develop the behavioural model of car users in terms of creating and testing effective social marketing tools and using them in sustainable urban mobility policy.

  Aby rozwijać zrównoważoną mobilność miejską, opracowano wiele narzędzi o charakterze twardym, mających skłonić kierowców do rezygnacji z samochodu, a jednocześnie podnieść atrakcyjność alternatywnych form przemieszczania się. Zwiększeniu skuteczności i akceptacji środków twardych służyć mają narzędzia miękkie, oparte na budowaniu postaw prośrodowiskowych i prospołecznych i promowaniu zrównoważonej mobilności. Narzędzia miękkie bywają jednak niedoceniane, mimo że mogą zwiększyć akceptację restrykcji dla kierowców oraz domykać lukę „postawa – zachowanie”, występującą, gdy rzeczywiste zachowania konsumentów są rozbieżne z ich nastawieniem do tych zachowań. Mobilność nadal pozostaje obszarem, w którym występuje duża luka „postawa – zachowanie” ze względu na małą skłonność do rezygnacji z samochodu, nawet pomimo rosnącej świadomości ekologicznej Polaków. Na tym tle, projekt miał na celu określenie, w jakim stopniu różne kombinacje bezpośredniej, popartej bodźcami wizualnymi informacji o prywatnych i zewnętrznych kosztach i korzyściach wpływają na zamianę samochodu na bardziej zrównoważone środki transportu miejskiego i tym samym ograniczają lukę „postawa – zachowanie”. Dla realizacji celu wykorzystano założenia ekonomii behawioralnej oraz dorobek studiów nad zrównoważoną konsumpcją i opracowano badania eksperymentalne przy zastosowaniu techniki CAWI. Badanie przeprowadzono w marcu 2023 r. wśród mieszkańców Wrocławia w wieku 30-40 lat, posiadających prawo jazdy oraz samochód do dyspozycji. Respondentów podzielono na 4 równoliczne grupy A, B, C i D, spośród których trzy (B, C i D) otrzymały w eksperymentalnej części kwestionariusza odmienne informacje wizualne nawiązujące do kosztów i korzyści prywatnych oraz społecznych i środowiskowych wynikających z bardziej zrównoważonych zachowań transportowych. Wyniki badań potwierdziły występowanie efektów framingu, awersji do straty oraz posiadania, a także odmienność reakcji na różne bodźce wizualne i tym samym różną ich skuteczność w domykaniu luki „postawa – zachowanie”. Poświadcza to niewykorzystany potencjał narzędzi miękkich w transformacji ku zrównoważonej mobilności, a także potrzebę dalszego rozwoju modelu behawioralnego użytkowników samochodów pod względem opracowywania i testowania skutecznych narzędzi marketingu społecznego i wykorzystania ich w polityce zrównoważonej mobilności miejskiej.
