  The database provides comprehensive coverage of cases of legislative party switching. This dataset was precisely assembled, encompassing data collected at multiple levels of analysis. At the individual level, it records the activities of individual Members of Parliament (MPs) who have engaged in legislative party switching. At the party level, changes in the size and composition of parliamentary groups resulting from these shifts are documented. Furthermore, at the parliamentary level, the database captures the extent and prevalence of this phenomenon within the parliament as a whole. Additionally, this database includes cases in which MPs were replaced when their mandates expired before the conclusion of the legislative term. To facilitate comprehensive analysis, party switching and replacement events have been organized and presented in chronological order on a timeline, ensuring a systematic and coherent exploration of this critical aspect of parliamentary politics.

  Baza danych pozwala na kompleksowe ujęcie zdarzeń party switching w parlamentach. Zbiór obejmuje trzy poziomy analiz. Na poziomie indywidualnym rejestruje działania poszczególnych posłów, którzy zaangażowali się w zmianę grupy parlamentarnej. Na poziomie partii udokumentowano zmiany w wielkości i składzie grup parlamentarnych wynikające z tych zmian. Ponadto, na poziomie parlamentarnym, baza danych rejestruje zakres i częstość występowania tego zjawiska w parlamencie jako całości. Aby ułatwić kompleksową analizę, wydarzenia związane z transferami międzyfrakcyjnymi i zastępowaniem posłów zostały zorganizowane i przedstawione w porządku chronologicznym na osi czasu, zapewniając systematyczną i spójną analizę tego krytycznego aspektu polityki parlamentarnej.
