Subject and Keywords:

Church without barriers ; culture meetings ; culture of exclusion ; inclusive pedagogy ; Pope Francis

Abstract:

Over the centuries the understanding of the problem of exclusion was inconstant. But always remained with a strong connection with the epoch, culture, people’s living standard. Also the views on the moral assessment of the actions that cause social exclusion were changeable. Quite often excluded were seen as parasites decent societies. In many cases, the exclusion has been interpreted as a chosen way of life made by many wise men. There are also different, competing models explaining the reasons and ways to conceptualize. ‘the culture of exclusion’. The paper exams this problem in the framework of a specific religious group – the Roman Catholic Church. A measure of this attitude may be the current teaching of the Pope Francis.
