Title:

Constitutional law in Israel in historical terms

Creator:

Hic, Piotr

Subject and Keywords:

constitutional law   Israel   constitution   religion

Abstract:

The author undertook to represent the history of the constitutional law of Izrael on the basis of two periods of time. First of them is the antiquity, comprising the origins of existence of the people of Israel and the beginnings of construction of their statehood. The second period includes the present, whose central point is the rising of the state of Israel in 1947. Presenting these two periods of time, the author aims to show similarities between them and answer the question,, whether the Jewish tradition holds also national issues. The period of about 2000 years, when the Jewish nation existed without his own state, has also affected the perception of constitutional law by the Jews. The concepts which come from other states had an effect on creation of the Jewish statehood, which is emphasised in the text.
