The objective of this article is to pay particular attention to the role of pedagogical placement in the process of training future teachers. It also questions the effectiveness of theoretical and giving ready answers knowledge, which is so popular in educating students, and at the same time drawing attention to the essence of observation, personal experience and conscious reflection. This necessary change becomes even more important as it takes place in the era of unprecedented progress, an incredible pace and, above all, the sheer volume of information. A wide range of the 21st century teacher’s competences gain a particular value and a placement experienced by a future teacher is crucial in the first teaching steps.
