Terra Utopia. Educational glosses and contexts of utopia

Abstract:

The subject of the article is the phenomenon of utopia described and interpreted in the context of education. The paper consists of four parts: 1) Good place anywhere; 2) Happy Utopians; 3) Pedagogical contexts of utopia; 4) Eulogy of utopia. In the first part, some questions of origin and specific of utopia definition identity in literary, social and philosophical aspects were presented. In this chapter, an attempt was made to trace the most important origins of applications of its social and idealistic developments. In the second part, there were shown analysis of the utopian social system projects, focused on the conditio humana problem, by studying the eudaimonic mechanism (ie. compulsive happiness) of utopian projects. In the third part, based on the results of previous ascertainments, some descriptions of educational problems were revealed, coming thus eventually to possible pedagogical conclusions. The fourth section is devoted to the advantages of utopian thinking and acting for education. The main goal of the paper is to consider the hermeneutic and heuristic consequences of application of utopian constructs for pedagogies.
