Abstract:

This paper is an attempt to analyze the tasks of the Common Commission of the Government and National and Ethnic Minorities. This is an advisory body, which aims to improve the effectiveness of the politics of the state towards the mentioned minorities and to intensify dialogue with them. The Commission’s tasks fulfill constitutional duty to protect all freedoms and rights, that are guaranteed for the national and ethnic minorities in Poland. This paper was performed in the context of the regulation on the national and ethnic minorities and the regional language from 6th January 2005, as well as the Regulations of the Common Commission of Government and the National and Ethnic Minorities.
