Abstract:

Working with children and adolescents means also working with their parents, the closest members of the family system. The family home, created by family members, is the space where their life, atmosphere and belongings are organised – all this reflects the unique character of this place of inter-generational communication. The subject under consideration is a reflection of an educator at a Specialised Care Centre, which is attended by children and adolescents striving with the difficult experience of a family home in which parents are not always able to fulfill their care and educational functions. The paper presents the challenges of working with children and dysfunctional families in alignment with the philosophy of meeting and dialogue.  

Praca z dziećmi i młodzieżą to także praca z rodzicami, najbliższymi członkami systemu rodzinnego. Dom rodzinny, który tworzony jest przez jej członków, przestrzeń, w której organizuje się życie, atmosfera, przedmioty – wszystko to mówi o wyjątkowości tego szczególnego miejsca międzypokoleniowych przekazów. Przedmiotem podjętych rozważań będzie refleksja wychowawcy świetlicy specjalistycznej, do której uczęszczają dzieci i młodzież zmagające się z trudnymi doświadczeniami domu rodzinnego, w którym rodzice nie zawsze potrafią podołać wypełnianiu funkcji opiekuńczo-wychowawczej. Artykuł prezentuje wyzwania w pracy z dziećmi i rodzinami dysfunkcjonalnymi w myśl filozofii spotkania i dialogu.
