The article is devoted to the cycle of erotic elegies by the humanistic poet Filippo Buonaccorsi, entitled Fannietum. The poet draws on the topics and style of Catullus and the Roman elegists (Propertius, Tibullus and Ovid), and also to the erotic works of the Italian humanists (above all Giovanni Pontano and Giovanni Marrasio), in order to create his own response to his love for Fannia.
