Abstract:

Migration crisis is a factor which has a considerable impact on the security of many European countries. It causes various complications including an increased threat of crime inherent to the phenomenon of migration. Poland is not one of the main target or transit countries for migrants which is why it is not presently facing serious danger. However, proper approach to security demands preparing the country for different scenarios. Hence the necessity of defining challenges and preparing all appropriate forces and services to deal with them. This concerns also international police cooperation within Interpol which should consider Polish needs of crime fighting and prevention. It should also fit into Interpol’s wider strategy concerning migration problems.
