Abstract:

Article describe regulations conserning apostasy from Catholic Church in polish law and canon law. Republic of Poland is one of european democratic states that honor human rights, include religious freedom. Polish law regulate relations between state and churches in Constitution, Concordat between Republic of Poland and the Holy See, and in acts. Apostasy was mentioned in the Holy Bible (in Old and New Testament) and in scriptures of Apostolic Fathers and Church Fathers. Apostasy was penalized by Catholic Church and by states. Now it is one of the crimes typified in the Code of Canon Law. Polish Episcopal Conference regulated procedure of apostasy by decree
