Abstract:

The article describes the solutions implemented in 2014 in Wrocław University Library, namely Summon MultiSearch Engine and Mendeley - a program for bibliography management. The characteristics of the two is given against the background of other tools of similar purpose available on the market. It also presents the advantages of University of Wrocław's participation in Mendeley Premium pilot program highlighting the fact that apart from Jagiellonian University, University of Wrocław as the second university in Poland had a possibility of using its extended version. The article also points at the benefits of using modern information tools leading libraries into the digital era.
