Abstract:

The article presents the process of improving the activities of Serials Department librarians achieved via new technological solutions applicability. All domestic activities of the Department connected with periodicals' collecting, cataloging, and making inventories of the cataloged material are supported by computer technology. At the same time, with a view on the Library users, Serials Department employees co-produce the OPAC computer catalog and periodicals' digitized card catalog both of which due to their functionality and convenience are remotely accessible through Wrocław University Library website.
