Abstract:

The article presents practical applicability of Collections’ Acquisition Department database from the perspective of its ten-year usability. It describes most vital processes against the background of external changes which have been witnessed from the beginning of 1990s, accession and report processes, as well as helpful usable functions of Collection Acquisition database. The background provided for accession processes changes in Wrocław University Library Collections’ Acquisition Department is also outlined. The paper also insights into the advantages and perspectives of further changes in reference to new forms of publications.
