Abstract:

One of the disturbing phenomena of early twenty-first century is the increasing number of victims of trafficking for forced prostitution and forced labor. As shown by numerous reports of one of the disturbing trend is the continuous increase in the trafficking of children. Most of the minors come from Africa, the Middle East and South Asia and the Pacific region. In Europe, this problem arises primarily in the former socialist countries. Despite the many activities undertaken by international organizations and NGO fails to stop this practice. Organised crime groups exploit situations of poverty, inferior status of girls and women, ease of bribing or intimidation of officials, the lack of effectiveness of law enforcement. The enormous profits of the human trafficking crime groups will mobilize further action. Only education on human rights in societies, the fight against social exclusion, women's equality with men, and joint efforts can prevent trafficking in human beings, especially children.
