Abstract:

Using artificial intelligence in justice may take different forms. There seems to be no question regarding, e.g. the use of mechanisms that pick up deviations of rulings from the current case-law or the ones that suggest formulas, using of which is desirable while formulating the justification of a decision. However, in the present article, the author discusses – from the perspective of the right to a fair trial – not the IT tools, which support the work of a judge, but the ones that could replace them.
