Abstract:

The postulate of equality of disabled people in social life is multifold. Access to the open labour market seems to be suitable for assessing and evaluating the implementation of the concept of social inclusion and removing barriers in relation to people with disabilities. The situation on the open labour market, especially unemployment, is a frequently analysed indicator of changes in the integration and social inclusion of people with disabilities. The purpose of the article is to discuss current trends in the Polish labour market from the perspective of people with disabilities by analysing their unemployment rate. On the basis of available factual data and with focus on people with disabilities, a statistical analysis of unemployment in Poland was carried out for the years 2015–2019 in various categories, such as age, education, seniority/rank, duration of unemployment, etc. The characteristic existing in Poland in the analysed categories were revealed in regional terms.
