Abstract:

The monograph contains research results on economic and social determinants of life expectancy. The effects of nutrition and drug consumption on human health and life expectancy are shown. Moreover, the importance of pro-health behaviours and taking responsibility for one’s own health for the quality of life and life expectancy is presented. The monograph also contains comments on the impact of institutions on life expectancy.
