Abstract:

The article analyzes the essence of the phenomenon of child neglect under Polish law. It was pointed out that in the scientific literature the very concept of neglect is not explicit. It remains at the discretion of research interests of educators and psychologists. However, from a legal point of view, it is worth paying attention to the responsibility of parents for non-compliance with obligations towards children, based on the assumption of the rationality of the legislator.
