Abstract:

The article describes the problems of home education in Poland, where there is only one model of home education – school at home, which means that home teachers must implement a government program. Every year, children are required to take school exams. The author also describes how home education works in Alberta, Canada. She considers these solutions to be excellent in the field of home education. There are three options. First of all, as in Poland, the school controls distance education. The second is the division of responsibilities, which means you can choose a part from the school curriculum and combine it with your own curriculum. The third choice is freedom of education. The author also describes his own didactic experiences. For example, learning Latin. He successfully uses the Shinichi Suzuki method in learning the language for four years. An inspirational triangle arises: a child, parent and teacher. The author believes that we learn all our lives, which is why she also mentions key competences.
