Abstract:

The paper aims to analyze the competitive advantages of an international corporation related to the geographical location according to the resource/competence theory and transaction costs theory. The author highlights influence of the externalities intensity in the area of technologies used by a local company on the governance strategy of an international corporation. Specific local properties determine the competitiveness factors and substantially affect the company strategy.
