Abstract:

The article presents the political position of the State Comptroller, whose scope of activities includes, in the light of the legislation of the State of Israel, control of public administration, public finances and protection of basic rights and freedoms of citizens. The text aims to present a dual role that enables the indicated body to perform a function similar to that known to the Polish constitutional system of the Supreme Chamber of Control and the Ombudsman and to describe the broad competences granted by the Basic Law on the State Comptroller to the body.
