Abstract:

The article refers to theoretical and practical dimension of discrepancies between the Westernand Eastern approaches to the human rights. Although the human rights, codified by the UN are meant tobe universal, they are not identically interpreted. North America and Europe underline other aspects thanthe Russian Federation and East Asia along with the rest of the former “Third World” states. This causesmutual criticism from people who belong to those differing regions of the World. The paper describes thatcriticism, its roots, the most important differences between those visions and also the ways to overcomethem. The author notices that the shape of those ways also depends on the culture which the advocates ofnew ideas belong to
