The comparison of legal cultures of Judaism and Christianity

Abstract:

The comparison between legal cultures of Judaism and Christianity in the beginning requires an explanation of the term “legal culture” and description of its impact on religious, political and social processes. Certainly, both legal cultures of Judaism and Christianity are very similar on many areas and basically the rules of right came from Old Testament. It should be noticed that legal culture of Judaism was created thousands of years before the birth of legal culture of Christianity. The last one derived from its achievements and provided foundations for its own identity. The fact that these two religions interpret basic rule of their rights and beliefs divergently shows their diversity. This is perfect example of situation in which the same roots of righteousness can begin two similar, however, different legal cultures of the biggest world religion
