TY - GEN A1 - Woźniak, Jacek PB - Instytut Studiów Klasycznych, Śródziemnomorskich i Orientalnych UWr N2 - The paper deals with the ćaramaśloka, or the famous Sanskrit stanza from the Bhagavadgītā (18.66) which is one of the Śrīvaiṣṇava rahasyas, the secret mantras received during the initiation ceremony. The analysis is based on Piḷḷai Lōkācāriyar’s Mumukṣuppaṭi, a medieval text in Tamil xplaining theological and philosophical dimensions of these mantras. Piḷḷai Lōkācāriyar uses thetext of ćaramaśloka to present his own position on the fundamental issues of god and souls. The problems of final release and the means leading souls to liberation are particularly important for him and discussed in detail.
