There are new varieties of genetically modified plants, e.g. soy, maize, potato, rice, canola, cotton, which have different characteristics. The placing on the market of GMOs requires complying with the conditions set by international organizations and individual countries. There are opposing positions regarding the impact of transgenic organisms on the environment, life and health of people. This is due to the unpredictable effects of the introduction of GMOs and hence there is a belief in the positive impacts and benefits of genetic modifications as well as the conviction of a serious threat from such organisms. The decisive factors in the resolution of these controversies are reliably carried out and long-term scientific research and their results}, title={Żywność genetycznie modyfikowana na świecie – zagrożenia czy korzyści}, keywords={genetically modified food, safety of transgenic organisms, commercialization of GM organisms}, }
