Over the years, people with physical disabilities began to be perceived and to look at their needs in detail during the imprisonment. Polish legislation introduced regulations aimed at normalizing their situation. Despite the efforts, the situation of disabled prisoners leaves many irregularities, which is clearly manifested by unfavorable decisions of the European Court of Human Rights.
