 abstract={The purpose of this article is to present an outline of effortsmade by father Wacław Bliziński, a parson in the Lisków parish, to help families in the first half of the 20th century. The article was written based on documental analysis and interviews. The outline describes actions, and their effects, undertaken by father Bliziński, a priest who established an exemplary model of an early 20th century Polish village, turning Lisków into a symbol of progress. This article presents examples of the initiatives of father Wacław Bliziński: stages of establishing ties with his parishioners’ families, educational activity on behalf of developing rural families, increasing the social commitment of families and women, and political activity. As a priest, social activist, minister and senator, father Wacław Bliziński acted to raise the level of education, culture, cooperation, social organisations and health.},
