 abstract={The article describes the Three Seas concept which is an important initiative of the Polish foreign policy. The present government treats it as a way to meet the challenges posed by the EU crisis and aggressive behaviour of the Russian Federation. The aim of the Polish initiative is not to create new formalized structures but to consolidate the states of the region in dealing with specific problems. Another aim is to create a regional community integrated by common interests and taking common initiatives especially on the EU forum. Another aim is cooperation among the countries of the region regarding infrastructural projects: transportation of natural gas and creation of land and water routes connecting the countries in the north-south direction.},
