 abstract={The main aim of this article is to investigate the current trends in media consumption in the context of democracy erosion based on the examples of chosen countries. The author is seeking answers to the question whether the way the media are created has an influence on the popularization of autocratic and populist movements. A preliminary research hypothesis was adopted that indicates that the operation of the media and the consumer habits of recipients created by them significantly support the communication of anti-democratic actors of the political scene.},
