 abstract={By adjusting Polish regulations on the deposit guarantee system to the relevant directives of the European Union adopted after the global crisis at the beginning of the 21st century, the Bank Guarantee Fund adopted tasks in the fi eld of resolution. The aim of this study is to try to answer the question whether the resignation from the support function that was present in the previous legal status was the right thing to do. The wording of the regulations currently in force shows that the fund achieves its statutory objectives by means of the guarantee function; the restructuring function; information and control function and stabilization function.},
