 abstract={Due to the fact that artificial intelligence has entered the sphere of culture, becoming an extremely important field for copyright, the aim of the article is to answer the question of who can we consider as the author of works created by artificial intelligence. The author analyzed the concept of a work within the meaning of copyright law on the basis of Polish and European Union regulations, international convention and jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the European Union. She pointed out the connection of the concept of authorship in the European Union copyright law with the requirement of originality, which should be understood as the author’s own intellectual creation. When trying to answer thequestion of who should one consider as the author of works created by artificial intelligence, the programmer, user, investor and machine were taken into account.},
