 abstract={The article refers to Masaryk's conception of democracy and his aversion to theocratism understood as a system of rules in the life of the state and society characteristic of countries with theocracy or monarchy traditions. Masaryk was also dividing different nations into those that were by nature more or less democratic. In this way, he differentiated the possibilities of cooperation with them by the Czechoslovak Republic. He himself was a co-creator of this country and has been its first president for over 17 years. Masaryk classified its own nation (Czech) as an eminently democratic one, destined to define the conditions and principles of democratic culture.},
