This practice is a centuries-old tradition of Judaism and Islam in which the carotid artery of an animal is cut without prior stunning in order to obtain kosher / halal meat. In this paper, the primary and secondary law of the European Union was analysed in the light of the relevant jurisprudence of the Court of Justice and the European Court of Human Rights. The main conclusion of the analysis is that there is a significant margin of appreciation of the Member States in this respect, and thus the limitation and prohibition of ritual slaughter is in line with European Union law.}, title={Problematyka dopuszczalności uboju rytualnego zwierząt w prawie Unii Europejskiej}, type={text}, doi={10.34616/144213}, keywords={religion, Judaism, Islam, slaughter, meat, kosher, halal}, }
