A conversation between a parent and a child is an asymmetric relationship that differs due to the level of communicative competences of the participants of the conversation. The competences of both the child and the adult differ. The responsibility of an adult is to start a conversation with a child about an interesting topic, exchange on mutual matters and problems, while creating conditions for the child to reveal his/her own points of view, opinions, and beliefs. Parents create an atmosphere of equality that is conducive to openness and confiding.
