 abstract={Over the years, Polish-Israeli and Polish-Jewish relations have been described in various aspects by many scholars. However, none of these publications deals in detail with the impact of the above relations on the issue of citizenship, as well as the impact of the issue of citizenship on Polish-Israeli and Polish-Jewish relations. The gap is to be filled by this doctoral dissertation,in which the issue of citizenship in Polish-Jewish relations from the times of the Second Polish Republic and in Polish-Israeli relations since the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948 until 2020 was analyzed. A particularly important topic described in the work is the issue of obtaining Polish citizenship by Israelis with Polish roots since Poland's accession to the European Union in 2004. So far, no one has examined the reasons for applying for Polish documents, the course of the entire process and the attitude of interested Israelis towards Poland and Poles. Carrying out an analysis of this topic may contribute to a better understanding of the conditions of contemporary Polish-Israeli and Polish-Jewish relations},
