It prevents posture defects and has a positive effect on the physical and mental condition, which proves the health and the comfort of life. Practicing as a musician requires very good physical and mental fitness, that is, playing with the body and soul. Musicians are exposed to stress and spend long hours playing selected instruments, which is associated with adopting body positions appropriate for the instrument, but not very ergonomic for the organism. This article aims to compare the level of physical activity between professional musicians and non-musicians. Secondary sources from literature studies and primary sources from deliberately conducted surveys on health, physical activity, and personal data as well as the WHOQOL-Bref questionnaire were used here. The study group consisted of 28 professional musicians, aged 20 to 43. There were 25 people in the control group, aged 18 to 52. Both groups were all women. The study was conducted in the spring of 2020 during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic when restrictions were imposed, including a ban on concerts and public gatherings, which resulted in the elimination from practicing the profession of musicians. The results showed that professional musicians were much more physically active compared to earlier periods and other social groups. Increased physical activity has become a way to survive and keep fit.}, title={Aktywność fizyczna w zachowaniach prozdrowotnych zawodowych muzyków}, type={text}, doi={10.34616/142110}, keywords={physical activity, pro-health behavior, health, music profession}, }
